Airplanes, cars, buses, consumption and waste. According to a study by the Öko-Institut e.V., the European Football Championship causes an additional 490,000 tons of CO2*.
Not good news for our climate.
It's great that UEFA is investing around 7 million euros in offsetting and climate protection through its own climate fund.

We want to try to make a meaningful contribution to even more offsetting and climate protection out of our own motivation and offset some of the remaining emissions. We want to offset up to 76,500 tons of CO2 in the long term*.
